First Annual Autumn Tradition

A couple of weeks ago, I decided that I wanted to start a new annual autumn tradition of taking Little B to the pumpkin patch to get our family pumpkins. A select few scoffed at me saying it would be fun in years to come for him but this year wouldn't be that enjoyable. I don't think that Little B could have proved those doubters more wrong if he tried! He had an absolute ball! He got down and picked out his own pumpkin which he could not have been more thrilled with. He enjoyed playing in the grass with the bean bags to a miniature cornhole set while Daddy B paid for the pumpkins. I could not have been more impressed with the novelty AND how cheap the pumpkins were. $1 per pound. A good medium pumpkin was only $5! I have easily paid $7 in the past when going to the local Walmart and that's not nearly the fun we had today. I cannot sing the praises enough of the pumpkin patch experience. Thank you to the staff at Mazed and Cornfused for the hour of enjoyment and fun and for helping to take a family picture to commemorate the day! For those interested in going to see what all the fuss is about, it's located at 7351 S St. Rd. 67, Muncie, IN. Call 765-282-7293 for hours or visit pumpkinpatchesandmore.org which is how we found this little treasure. For those that aren't into the pumpkin picking, there are already gathered pumpkins for sale, a corn maze, hay rides, produce, gift shop, snacks and refreshment stand.

**Please note in the pictures that he is now wearing a jacket and hat. I felt like the mom that everyone was staring at earlier in the day since it was in the low 50s and my kid didn't have a coat. Unfortunately, we had a heavy winter coat but it wasn't quite that cold and since I hadn't made it to the mall, I hadn't been able to find the fleece jacket I'd been looking for. After four stores and two trips to Target, we got our coat and hat. The hat was 2-5T but I was hoping it would fit Little B because I wasn't a big fan of the other hats available. Lucky for me, Little B has a big noggin - which he gets from his dad - and so it fit great. The mittens, not so much so we will be on a hunt for those now.**
