In June, I lost my hairdresser due to her moving. Really a big bummer because I get traumatized going to new people with my kinky hair. Tried going to a curly headed friend's recommendation, but her hairdresser is currently on hiatus. I went ahead and tried someone there. Not thrilled. It's not that she was bad, it's just my eyebrows weren't quite shaped right and my hair was more boxy than it should have been. So, I need to find out if her hairdresser will be back or I'll be on to looking for another place. On top of that, our personalities weren't very similar and all ladies know that is important for a hairdresser! Then our fridge went out which caused a lot of wasted food including gallons of raspberries that I'd got a great deal on. Very sad :( Fridge is fixed though and at least it got wiped out I guess. So, epic losses ;)
We had our very first garage sale where Daddy B throughly enjoyed himself. Making deals is his speciality and he gets a sick high off of it. That's definitely not my forte nor do I enjoy it - I will always leave that to him!
On the first, we went to the bank for our Friday deposit/withdraw. Little B went in with me for the first time and got not one, but two stickers. He thought he was so cool with his stickers. He blew the teller a kiss as a special thank you. Then we started our weekends of museums by going to the local kids museum for a couple hours before picking up his daddy. Little B's obsession with trains continues with no end in sight. Choo chop! It's very sweet the way he has learned to pretend with all his toys in the last two months. It's amazing just watching him play and we could probably "waste" a good part of our day enjoying watching the little man.
Little B home after his trip to the museum
The next day, we met Granddaddy, Nana, and Uncle E at the Indy kids museum. Little B had a blast! Of course, we had to make a pit stop at WalMart because Momma B forgot the camera at home. So, we picked up a disposable camera. Little B was unsure of ceramic Dora but loved the toddler play area. He couldn't get enough of the tractor. Unfortunately, while in the toddler play area, he got sick. That was fun to clean up. Way to embarrass your parents Little B :)
We've continued to enjoy our Wed. night playdates with Momma P, Little J and now Little R too. We've had a couple of really long walks. The boys are hilarious together and it's nice to have Momma P to vent to and spend adult time with. To continue in adult fashion, we had a dinner date with dear friends on one of the hottest days of the year. But, the food and company was good. Little B and Little K had one of the little girls wrapped around their finger and loved being rocked on the hammock. Little B also really enjoys spending time with Big P because he loves following her around - and she loves him following her around so she can be the boss. The two of them are priceless together!
We also enjoyed a visit to Evansville with the C's. Momma B wanted to take him for yogurt to his very first ice cream store. The buildup in Momma B's head was so much better than the result. He wasn't all that impressed but really liked the pictures of the kids on the wall :) We had fun anyways! Little B really took to Uncle R and enjoyed driving the car. No surprise since that's one of his favorite things to do nowadays! He also enjoyed helping Grandpa wash the car which is Grandpa's favorite pastime. Little B Enjoyed it just because he had the chance to play in water. He truly is a fish. He'd play outside, bathe outside, eat outside, sleep outside if we let him.
One of my new favorites
Of course, fun must also be stressful for Little B, because he continuously is trying to leave with the K's and cries when they leave without him. Complete melt downs. It's actually really amusing how big a fit he throws. Their house must be better than Mommy and Daddy's...
Swinging on a big boy swing for the first time! July 15
