It's hard to believe you're already seven years old! The years have flown by. I still remember that sweet little baby face that was learning to smile and crawl and walk. I remember the first fit you threw because of me making you unhappy. Around one year old, you took your golf club after repeated warnings and hit the tv screen. I put you in your bean bag chair for a timeout and you were so angry and upset with me. I knew it was the right thing, but boy your cries hurt my heart! You have a way of pulling at my heart strings and melting my heart into mush. Your spunky, fun loving, creative attitude is a joy to see. You have been such a blessing to watch grow up and I can't imagine a more stunning seven year old than you.
Seven years ago, you came into my life and left a footprint that will last forever. You always have brought such joy and beauty into my world. I know that many will never understand how truly wonderful our extended family is, but for us, it feels right. I cannot imagine a better mommy and daddy than John and Amanda for you, precious girl. You bring so much love and joy to so many lives. You have always been a lover and yet full of so much spunk. You make sure to keep everyone on our toes. You will go far in life and I look forward to seeing which path you will take.
This is the first birthday I've missed but I promise to bring a cake and some very special presents requested when we come to see you next month. No matter if the miles separate us, your birthday is on my heart and it will be celebrated every year in one way or another. You are my special girl and I will always wish for you a year full of joy, growth, and love on every birthday.
And now for a walk down memory lane....
Moments after you were born.

Five years old. You had to make sure everyone's eyes were closed for the prayer!
Happy Seventh Birthday to my firstborn! You are amazing and I look forward to many more years of celebrating you. We love you!

It truly boggles my mind that Eden is 7. And Kaylee is 6 on her way to being 7. How is that possible?! But, I'm thankful because it's these girls that brought us together as friends and as they get older, we are getting older together as well :-) Love you Bre and Happy (late) Birthday to Eden!
