Car rides suck. Little B was a great little traveler when he was first born. But at five months old he became a terror. He has decided he dislikes traveling in the car very far. Sometimes very far is defined as thirty minutes and other times a few hours. This weekend we had to stop on the way down only thirty minutes into the trip because he wanted to eat right then. We had to feed him a bottle in creeping traffic in Louisville. On the way back today, it was a good thing we stopped in Louisville because he was ready to stop. After plenty of holding and loving time, we got back in the car and he was fussy again. He took a short nap followed by wanting out of the car just because. We shopped for a bit and then fed him. This should have appeased him, but nooooo. He was extremely tired and screamed until we pulled over. Another bottle on the road. His problem is not hunger - it's the travel. He is fine as soon as we slow down to stop. As frustrating as it is and as much as he's really going to have to get past that, I also understand because being stuck facing backwards has to be extremely boring. So while I sympathize, you'll have to learn to cope Little B because travel will be a part of our lives. I love you my frustrating traveler!
ugh....poor bre and aaron! i hope get does get better at this.
ReplyDeleteIn a few months he will look at books, and then someday you will be driving a van with a DVD player which seems to solve all travel problems with young children. Thanks for going through all this trouble so that we could be with you. Love, Ana
