Long Overdue...Swingsets and Travel Fun

I know I have missed over a month again. Seems like time doesn't slow down at all for a breather!

Right after my last post, my lovely father-in-law came up to help Daddy B build the swingset of all swingsets for Little B. Momma B is slightly responsible since she'd sent Daddy B instructions intended as a guideline but didn't clarify this with Daddy B so they were taken literally. The result:

Yes, we lowered the swing with chain so it was reachable and not quite as dangerous ;) This swingset will last Little B (and all future kids) and friends until they are too old to think a swingset is cool anymore. One day, a fort can be attached to this monstrosity.
What Little B thought when he first saw his swing: My Daddy and Granddaddy are the coolest. This thing rocks!

Then, there was Easter. Not only did we dye eggs for the first time ever as the Little B family, but we also hunted them together. Little B enjoyed dropping the eggs into the color which made for quite the mess. Momma B was determined to hunt the eggs outside and the good Lord saw fit for the rain to stop long enough to allow us time to hunt the eggs. It was so fun watching Little B enjoy his first holiday. This is the first one that he has enjoyed many of the festivities and taken a real part in it. It's such a joy being a parent at times like this.

Enjoying his first Peep. Look at those sweet eyes.

So, the Easter Bunny's chocolate bunny gift for Little B melted on his travels

Favorite thing to do at Grammy's: Climb up and down, up and down, up and down, etc. the stairs

Then, it was on to our next place of travel to see Little B's big sis: Big E. Big E did awesome in her recital. Unfortunately, she seems to have got Momma B's nose bleed genes as she randomly got one while at McDonald's. Hopefully that gene won't be passed on to Little B too as it's very unfun. These kids are definitely two peas in a pod. Little B loves all the attention from his big sister. They both enjoyed watching Fresh Beat Band together (Little B's favorite show by far!) Watching the two of them together is so precious because Big is such a great big sister. One day, Little B will realize that other than the fact he lavishes the attention that she is the coolest big sister there could be.

Watching cartoons. Same expressions. Love. :)

The boys went to Poopy's. A biker bar(/restaurant as they insist). Oh an experience I'm sure.
Climbing steps with his godfather/Big E's Daddy.
Our beautiful dancer.

Little B and Little K are still enjoying tons of time together. And Momma B could not feel more blessed to watch the two of them together. Daddy B is so great with the two of them and they couldn't have a better sitter. He plays on the floor with them, takes them on walks, pushes them in the swing, and gives them tons of hugs and cuddles as needed along the way. They definitely adore their Daddy B, but have been sweet enough to include Momma B in their need for love and fun since she's started her work from home venture. In the pictures of the tub below, Momma B had a ball with the boys. The boys talked about the duck (Little K) and how it quacks (Little B) and then Little B rocked Momma B's world by answering that his book was about a car not a truck. Cutest three letter word ever!

They actually look the exact opposite of how the ride went. Little K loved it and sang most of the way. Little B became unimpressed that Little K was in his typical seat where he can see his momma.

Silly mohawk boys

Momma B celebrated her birthday and then Mother's Day all in the same weekend while visiting the families in our hometown. The best part was that Daddy B had worked with the boys during their Boysitting time and had Little B had colored a picture for me (and Little K for his momma) for Mother's Day. It was so sweet to get my very first real present from my little boy. He also picked me a flower. And Uncle Z was kind enough to wash/wax/vaccum/shampoo Momma B's car. A very nice treat for a momma of a slimy toddler ;) Plus, Momma B got some new clothes which included shorts that actually were decent length! It's taken years but Momma B will officially don shorts again this year!

After three weekends of trips in a row, we have made it back home for a while and should enjoy a little bit of relaxing here and there now. It's been a bit of an adjustment trying to get Little B back on our time and his normal schedule. In fact, this week he took a 3.5 hour nap and we had to WAKE him so that he'd go to sleep at night. Obviously, all the travel and then hard play with Little K got to him and he had to rest up! It was a good day to choose to nap that long since Momma B was having the migraine of her lifetime with it lasting almost 24 hours.

Little B had his first therapy session this past week. He got to know Therapist P and she got to know him. He enjoyed playing with the toys as did Little K. Little K was very attracted to the baby doll and originally was loving on the baby but the first pictures Momma B captured were of him choking the baby haha. Both boys enjoyed something that has never happened in the house before: bubbles! Little B was interested in popping them. Momma B was very pleased with TP (Therapist P) and looks forward to her working with Little B and his vocabulary/communication abilities growing!

And last but not least, today. Little B enjoyed putting on his rain boots for the first time and going out and splashing around/playing in the backyard while it drizzled. Daddy B was very sweet and tolerant of this while Momma B cooked dinner. An entire day inside was way too much for everyone. Little B woke up full of energy this morning and hardly slowed down all day. And the tantrums? They were definitely going strong anytime he didn't like an answer today. And so, that is why it is time for Momma B to go to bed. To soak up some shut eye to start over tomorrow with some more patience for toddlerhood. The highs are very high but the tantrums...they are VERY low. Despite that, I fall more in love with our little boy every day.
